Jess Koong Yu Qian

Founder & Partner

Jess is the founder and partner of JKS and has been a member of the Malaysian Bar since 2020.

Jess’s principal practice is in commercial and civil litigation. Her portfolio also comprises of a wide diversity of law, including fraud and asset recovery, complex contractual disputes, construction adjudication and arbitration, labour and employment, land and property law. During her tenure of practice, she has acted for prominent clients such as public-listed companies in successfully securing favourable outcomes and safeguarding their interest in various contentious disputes.

She mainly acts as lead counsel for trials and hearings at the Industrial Court, Malaysian High Court and Appellate Courts.

Soong Pei Juen

Founder & Partner

Pei Juen is the co-founder and partner of JKS and has been a member of the Malaysian Bar since 2018. She is also an accredited mediator with the Malaysian International Mediation Centre since 2023.

Her principal areas of practice include estate administration and civil litigation, where she handles matters such as debt recovery, tenancy disputes, and family & matrimonial cases.

In addition, she advises on real estate and conveyancing. Her focuses in corporate and commercial practice covers corporate advisory, drafting and reviewing of agreements, regulatory compliance, and support on day-to-day business operations.
